old-fashioned fun

spent last evening having the simplest fun - went for a little walk around the circle with the family and ended up catching fireflies till it was too dark to catch them anymore. got a jar, poked holes in it and named our 'captor' Larry. we released Larry back to the wild before bedtime but two things struck me: 1) i still have the amazing ability to catch fireflies like a champ and 2) it was one of the most enjoyable, relaxing evenings i've had in a while. gonna do it again tonight.
